Davao Region to close borders on March 19

DAVAO CITY — All entry points of Region XI or Davao Region will be closed starting 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020, in an effort to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This means, residents and motorists coming from outside region will not be allowed entry.

The Davao Region Covid-19 Inter-Agency Task Force during a meeting on Tuesday, March 17, also agreed to ban all flights in and out of Metro Manila and Clark to contain the disease.

Here’s the Executive Order:

The COVID-19 IATF is composed of officials from the Regional Peace and Order Council and the Regional Development Cuoncil.
