Sara Duterte-Carpio withdraws her candidacy for Mayor come 2022 elections

DAVAO CITY –— CITY Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio just went out from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Second District Office and withdrew her certificate of Candidacy for reelection in the 2022 elections.

Early this morning, Vice Mayor Sebastian “Baste’ Duterte also withdrew his certificate of candidacy seeking reelection some 2022 elections. The young Duterte for Councilor Melchor Quitain Jr. as his substitute.

Sara did not grant an interview after she filed her withdrawal.

Quitain told reporters, he is not privy to any plans of the Mayor.
