Scheduled power interruptions in Davao City on February 8, 9, and 10

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct scheduled switching power interruptions on February 8, 9, and 10, 2025 (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday), affecting customers in various parts of Davao City. These interruptions are necessary to facilitate steel pole erection at Matina Crossing and pole and line removal along the Maa Flyover area.

To minimize prolonged power outages, Davao Light will transfer loads from affected lines to a nearby substation for one hour anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, February 8. The normalization or return of loads to their normal configuration will take place for another hour anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10.

  • From the corner of Gempesaw Street and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue to Leon Garcia Street
  • Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street
  • Quezon Boulevard to Bolton Bridge, including Bucana, City Hall, SP Building, portions of Pichon Street, Bolton Extension, and nearby areas
  • Ecoland, Quimpo Boulevard, and Matina Areas:
  • Entire Ecoland area, McArthur Highway (MTS, Ateneo Grade School, Ecoland IT Park) up to Davao Memorial Park
  • Quimpo Boulevard from Bolton Bridge to South Grove
  • Entire Tulip Drive up to Walnut Street
  • Maa, Diversion Road, and Neighboring Areas:
  • Entire Maa area, Diversion Road to Jade Valley
  • Juliville to Tigatto, Mandug, Callawa, Indangan
  • Diversion Road to Bean Xpress Matina Pangi Diversion and neighboring areas
  • Matina Crossing and Matina Aplaya:
  • McArthur Highway (Davao Memorial Park to Matina Crossing)
  • Matina Aplaya areas to Ecoland Coastal Road Entrance
  • Matina Pangi areas to Diversion Road Bean Xpress and nearby locations
  • Toril and Surrounding Areas:
  • Gaisano Grand Toril, Carabao Statue Gaisano Mall Toril
  • From Toril to Sirawan and Binugao areas
  • Additional Power Interruptions

🔹 February 8-9: A 4-hour power interruption will occur from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, to 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 9, affecting customers along Magtuod Road to Langub, including portions of Monteritz up to Sitio Uyanguren.

🔹 February 9: A separate 30-minute load transfer will take place anytime between 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 9, affecting:

Maa Road from Las Terrazas to Diversion Road (Kubota Philippines), including NHA Maa, Del Pilar Village, New Washington Village, Roldan Village, and Woodridge Park

Matina Crossing to Lots for Less Matina Aplaya Road (Sunrise Village, Ultra Homes, Batangueno Village, Pag-asa Village)

Magtuod Road to Langub, including portions of Monteritz and Sitio Uyanguren

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions and will make every effort to restore electricity as planned or earlier. However, unexpected circumstances may cause delays in restoration.

For safety reasons, the public is advised to exercise caution in areas where maintenance and repair activities are being conducted. Please observe warning signs, especially where heavy equipment is in operation.
