DAVAO CITY — Customers from the northern part of the city will experience power disruptions on Sunday, April 21 as Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. upgrades the power line from DECA Indangan to Ciudades Subdivision.

The switching power interruption will be for 1 hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations and avoid a longer power interruption.

Specifically affected are customers from Northtown 911, AMSAI, Prestige Subdivision, Hidalgo Homes, and Celerina Heights Subdivision.

Meanwhile, an 8-hour power interruption will also be conducted from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. affecting customers from the entire DECA Indangan, Villa Alevida, Ciudades, T. Fernandez National High School, Rose Bakeshop crossing Malagamot, Purok Sto. Nino, Mudian Road, Purok 6, San Isidro Labrador, a portion of Malagamot, and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
