Service disruptions on February 19, 20, and 25 in different parts of Davao City and Carmen, Davao del Norte

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct switching power interruptions on February 19, 20, and 25, 2024, Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City and the Municipality of Carmen in Davao del Norte.

The first switching power interruption will be for 1 hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on February 19, Monday, to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on February 25, Sunday. These disruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance work at the P. Reyes Substation.

Specifically affected are customers from Tulip Drive, Ecoland Subdivision, SM Ecoland, Matina Aplaya Road up to Shanghai Village, and nearby areas.

Also affected are those from Penong’s Quirino, along Quirino Avenue, Davao Doctors Hospital, J. Camus Street, Mt. Mayon, Mt. Apo, J. Abad Santos Street, Malvar Street, a portion of Magallanes Street, Bankerohan Public Market up to ADDU High School, MTS and nearby areas.

Customers from C. Bangoy Sr. Street corner Rizal Street, the whole of Rizal Street, up to Chinabank corner C.M. Recto Street, Bolton Street narrow road, and nearby areas will also be affected by these service disruptions.

Lastly, a switching power interruption will be conducted on February 20, Tuesday, to facilitate the transfer of loads to a substation in the Municipality of Carmen, Davao del Norte. This will be for 1 hour from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. affecting customers from Brgy. Sto. Nino, Carmen, Carmen Poblacion up to Brgy. Tuganay and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
