Service disruptions on February 4 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of power interruptions on February 4, 2024, Sunday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.

The first power interruption will be for 4 hours from 12:01 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. to facilitate the installation of 65-footer concrete poles near C.M. Recto Street corner R. Magsaysay Avenue, in connection with the underground cabling project.

Specifically affected are customers from C. Bangoy Fire Station, Davao Central Post Office

Vivaldi Residences, UnionBank R. Magsaysay Branch, and those from C.M. Recto corner R. Magsaysay Avenue up to Guerrero Street. Also affected are those in Jacinto Street, Artiaga Street, Padre Zamora Street, Ponce Street, and Faura Street up to 7-Eleven near crossing Quezon Aurora Boulevard.

In addition, switching power interruptions will be conducted on the same day to facilitate maintenance works of the 138kV Line 2 along Diversion Road from Dahlia Eatery, Matina Pangi up to crossing Shrine Hills.

The first switching power interruption will be for 1 hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations. Customers situated in Brgy. Langub area, Jhaymart’s Industries, Villa Senorita Village, Aydilnan Trading, crossing Magtuod, and nearby areas will be affected by this power interruption. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. affecting customers from Dahlia Eatery up to crossing Magtuod – Diversion Road.

In connection, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 12:01 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on the same day, February 4, Sunday. Specifically affected are customers along Diversion Road, from Dahlia Eatery up to crossing Shrine Hills Road including Orange Grove Subdivision and Bellevue Square.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
