Service disruptions on July 23 in the southwest part of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct switching power interruptions on July 23, Sunday, affecting customers in the southwest part of Davao City.

These power interruptions are necessary to relocate the poles along Bago Aplaya Road as requested by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The first power interruption will be for 8 hours from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Specifically affected are customers in some parts of Libby Road and Bago Gallera, including Tugbok Water System, DCWD Production Wells # 7, 29, 34, and 40, Sitio Saka, and immediate environs.

The second power interruption will be for 1 hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. to facilitate the transfer of loads from the affected lines to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for 1 hour, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Specifically affected are customers along Bago Aplaya Road, from Mercury Drug Bago to JM Eatery, including URC, DCWD Production Wells # 13, 15, 17, 18, and 28, and immediate environs.

Also affected are customers along Libby Road, from South Pacific to Kitallids Motorcycle Parts, including immediate environs.

Customers along Libby Road, from Toril Memorial Park to Angelo Agrivet Supply, including DCWD Production Wells # 31, 32, 35, and 36, and immediate environs will also be affected by these service interruptions.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
