Service disruptions on October 22 and 23 in the southern part of Davao City

DAVAO CITY – Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct switching power interruptions on October 22 and 23, Sunday and Monday, affecting customers in the southern part of Davao City.

These power interruptions are necessary for the shutdown of Hedcor Sibulan and Davao Line 3 works.

The first power interruption will be for 1 hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. to conduct isolation of affected lines. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for 1 hour from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on October 22, Sunday.

Specifically affected are customers from Davao Light Bangkal Substation to entire Ulas and Talomo, including Coca-cola Ulas and immediate environs.

Also affected are customers in the entire Puan, Libby Road, Bago Gallera, Bago Aplaya, Dumoy, Mulig, Bato, Bayabas, Marapangi, Toril, Lizada, and immediate environs.

Additionally, the second power interruption will be for 8 hours from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. to conduct isolation of affected lines. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for 1 hour from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on October 22, Sunday.

Specifically affected are customers in the whole Binugao Area, Catigan, Sirawan, Inawayan, Baracatan, and nearby areas up to the Crossing of Gaisano Grand Toril.

Moreover, the third power interruption will be for 8 hours from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on October 22, Sunday, to conduct isolation of affected lines.

Specifically affected are customers from Ulas Police Station to Mercury Talomo and DCWD Production Well #04.

Lastly, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for 1 hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on October 23, Monday.

Specifically affected are customers from Binugao Barangay Hall to Crossing of Gaisano Grand Toril and immediate environs.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
