Service disruptions on September 3 in the southern part of Davao City

DAVAO CITY — Some areas in the southern part of the city will experience power disruptions as Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will switch power on Sunday September 3.

The power firm in a press statement said there power interruptions are necessary to relocate the poles from Davao Adventist (Sanitarium) Hospital to Brgy. Matina Crossing 74-A and nearby areas.

The first power interruption will be for 30 minutes from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. to conduct isolation of affected lines while the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Separately, the third power interruption will be for 7 hours from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the pole removal and replacement activity. Specifically affected are customers from Davao Adventist Hospital, along McArthur Highway, Peace Avenue, Orchids Street, Santan Street, Arnolo Street, and nearby areas.

Also affected are customers in Kookels Restaurant, Narra Street, and nearby areas; as well as those in Savemore Bangkal, Ateneo High School, Bangkal 7-Eleven Store, Central Park Avenue, and nearby areas.

Customers in SM Village Opal Street, Onion Street, Marlboro Street, and its adjacent areas; as well as Rans Barbershop, Purple Yam Bangkal Outlet, 7th Avenue, entire Brgy Matina Crossing 74-A, Davao City, Special National High School, A. Mabini Elementary School, SPED Road, B&B Car Display Center up to Motor Ace Cycle Dealer and nearby areas will also be affected by these service disruptions.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done.

Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
