DAVAO CITY —- A shooting incident took place in Tangub City while a political group was conducting a Christmas party at around 8:45 in the evening on December 22.
Reports have it, Team Asenso led Ozamiz City Second District Congressman Henry Oaminal, former Oroquieta City Mayor Jason Paredes Almonte and Lopez Jaena Mayor Michael Gutierez were having a Christmas party in Tangub City when the shooting took place.
In a Facebook post, Ozamiz City Mayor Sancho Fernando Oaminal posted ” Desperate moves. My father, Cong. Henry is okay. My brother, Atty. Indy and the other team members are also safe. But let us pray for Mayor Michael’s recovery as he has been hit by a bullet. “
Congressman Oaminal is running for the gubernatorial post of Misamis Occidental while Almonte is a Congressional aspirant while Gutirez is running for Vice Governor.
Tangub Police is now investigating the incident.
