Stepdad kills two minor daughters of his OFW partner

DAVAO CITY — For still unknown reasons a stepdad killed the two minor daughters of his wife who is working abroad dawn of November 11, in the village of Purok Mangga Landing, Barangay Inawayan, Sta Cruz, Davao del Sur.

Sta. Cruz police in a press statement identified the stepfather as Jessie Bon Palomo who was immediately arrested in the town of Banisilan, North cotabato.

The police report revealed that a certain Ronel, nieghbor of the victims heard the children crying for help at around 1:00am but he did not bother until 5:00 in the morning.

Ronel reportedly told the police that he went to the house of the victims he found the lifeless bodies of Marie 15-year-old and Inday, 11-year-old inside their room which prompted him to immediately report to the police and inform their mother who is still working as househelp in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Police investigators found the lifeless bodies of the children with Marie having no undergarments.

The police report established that the minors were left at the care of Palomo, their stepfather.

The Sta. Cruz police immediately launched a manhunt operation and arrested Palomo in Banisilan town in North Cotabato who was at that time leaving the place. Palomo is a native of Cotabato City.

Banisilan town is over 207 kilometers away from Sta. Cruz Davao del Sur with a travel time of at least 4hours and 30mins.

During his arrest, the police found an improvised 12-gauge shotgun, a sachet of suspected shabu (illegal drugs) in the possession of Palomo.

The suspect is now detained at the Sta, Cruz custodial facility while the victims bodies are now at Esperanza Funeral Parlor inBrgy. Zone III, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur awaiting the autopsy Examination, DNA examination and vaginal Swab to determine of the suspect raped one of the victims –Paul T. Palacio
