MANILA — President Rodrigo Duterte and action star Steven Seagal met in Malacanang on Thursday after the actor arrived in the country scouting for a location for his new movie about illegal drugs.
The President in his meeting with Seagal told the actor that movies are a reflection of life. He reiterated his strong stance against illegal drugs because it enslaves people to a form of synthetic chemical.
Duterte told Seagal that he does not want Philippines to suffer the same fate of many societies in Latin America, especially Mexico, which has been badly affected by the drug trade problem.
