DAVAO CITY — The officer and personnel of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) inside the Davao City Police Office Compound has been placed under hard lockdown after one of the operatives was tested positive for coronavirus-19.

Captain Rose Aguilar, spokesperson of DCPO told Newsline “The SWAT office and personnel are placed under hard lockdown because of the positive result involving their colleague who was among those who managed the quarantine at the Barangay 23-c”.

The city government placed barangay 23-C under hard lockdown a week ago after the surge of COVID-19 in the area.

The person who was tested positive stayed at the quarantine checkpoint along with other operatives.

There are over 40 policemen under the SWAT office and all of them have been isolated as of Wednesday because “They used to be together always and they stay in one office, and, outside they stay in one quarter,” Aguilar added. Newsline
