Switching power interruptions on June 18 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct switching power interruptions on June 18, Sunday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City. These service disruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance works at Buhangin Substation and line upgrading works near Central 911 Cabantian Satellite Station.

To avoid longer duration of power interruptions, load from the affected lines will be transferred to nearby lines for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 am.

Specifically affected are customers in the entire Mamay Road, including Comus Grill, Diho Phase 2, St. Anthony Subdivision, Roseville Subdivision, and neighboring areas, and those along Daang Maharlika Highway from Crossing Mamay Road to Nephrology Center of Buhangin, and neighboring areas, and those from Diho Subdivision Phase 1 to Gaisano Grand City Gate, including Holy Child Cabantian, and immediate environs.

Also affected are customers along Cabantian Road from Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses to Central 911 Cabantian Satellite Station, including Emilia Homes, Emily Homes, Deca Homes, Northcrest Subdivision, and neighboring areas, and those along Cabantian Road, from Ciudades Subdivision Entrance up to Indangan Barangay Hall, and neighboring areas.

Customers along Malagamot Road, from Cabantian Road Junction to near DCWD Well# 4, and neighboring areas, portion of Buhangin, along Diversion Road from COA Office to Davao Airport View Complex; including Catitipan, Purok Pag-ibig, Priscilla Estate Subdivision, Country Homes Subdivision, and neighboring areas will also be affected by this service disruption.

Additionally, the normalization or return of load back to its normal set-up will also be for 30 minutes anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Specifically affected are customers along JP Laurel Avenue, from Davao Light Substation to Bajada Flyover, and neighboring areas, and those along Buhangin-Lapanday Road from Bajada Flyover to Samulco Buhangin, including Ladislawa Village, San Pedro Village, Camella Northpoint, Spring Valley, Sandawa Village, and Pag-asa Homes, and neighboring areas, and those along Daang Maharlika Highway from Crossing Mamay Road to Orange Grove Hotel, and immediate environs.

Also affected are customers along Mamay Road from Roseville Subdivision to Crossing Daang Maharlika Highway, and neighboring areas, and from Diho Subdivision Phase 1 to Gaisano Grand City Gate, including Holy Child Cabantian and immediate environs, and those along Cabantian Road from Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses to Central 911 Cabantian Satellite Station, including Emilia Homes, Emily Homes, Deca Homes, Northcrest Subdivision, and neighboring areas.

Customers along Cabantian Road, from Ciudades Subdivision entrance up to Indangan Barangay Hall, and neighboring areas, along Malagamot Road, from Cabantian Road Junction to near DCWD Well# 4, and neighboring areas, and those along Pan-Philippine Highway, from Sumifru Philippines Corp. to Licanan, including Sumifru Philippines Corp., Foodsphere Inc., AJMR Port Complex, Daniel M. Perez Central, Bunawan Overpass, Iglesia Ni Cristo – Bunawan, Steniel, and neighboring areas will also be affected by this service disruption.

Lastly, a nine-hour power interruption will be conducted from 1:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on the same day, Sunday, June 18 to isolate the work site. Specifically affected are customers along Cabantian Road, from Central 911 Cabantian Satellite Station, up to Ciudades Subdivision Entrance, including Celerina Heights, Prestige Subdivision, Hidalgo Homes, Deca Homes Indangan and neighboring areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
