Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Friday and Monday, October 31 and November 3, 2025, in Davao City and Davao del Norte.
The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to conduct line works for the DRA Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31. Specifically affected are those from portions of Daang Maharlika Highway in Panabo from Panabo City Hall up to the entire Panabo area, including portions of Gredu poblacion area, from Tadeco Road to new Malitbog and Tadeco Substation, including Manay Road, Alejal Road, Biopulp Carmen, La Libertad Road, and TADECO Central, from Sto. Tomas Substation to Sto. Tomas proper, including Kinawayan, Katipunan, Luna, and Marsman.
Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal setup will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., affecting customers from the entire Panabo area, from Sonex Gas, including portions of Gredu poblacion area.
In connection, a 1-hour power interruption will be conducted to facilitate the necessary works. This will be anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., on Friday, October 31, affecting customers from portions of Gredu going to Tadeco Road up to Nanyo Central Elementary School and nearby areas, portions of Brgy. Gredu, Brgy. San Francisco (Poblacion), and portions of Carmen area from Flying V Carmen going to Tuganay, and nearby areas.
Furthermore, a 1 hour and 30-minute power interruption will also be conducted anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on the same day. Customers from Bunawan overpass up to portions of Daang Maharlika Highway Panabo from Panabo City Hall to Emcor Panabo, portions of Gredu going to Tadeco Road up to Nanyo Central Elementary School and nearby areas, and portions of Brgy. Gredu, Brgy. San Francisco (Poblacion), and portions of Carmen areas from Flying V Carmen going to Tuganay, and nearby areas will be affected by this service disruption.
The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate the preventive maintenance activities for Bunawan Substation. The affected lines will be transferred for 45 minutes anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31. Meanwhile, the normalization will be conducted for 45 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3.
Specifically affected are those from Mamay Road, from Comus Grill going to Roseville Subdivision; entire Cabantian, Amakan area up to Indangan Barangay Hall and nearby areas, along Daang Maharlika Highway from Panacan Cemetery to Buhisan Tibungco, including crossing Eliong, Panacan areas, and Tibungco Public Market, Mudiang, Ilang and nearby areas, from Bunawan overpass up to Sea Oil Gas Bunawan, from Buhisan Tibungco going to Mahayag, Gatungan, Bosque, and entire Bunawan area.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
