Tagum City nets P1.2-million from unserviceable equipment

DAVAO CITY — The City government of Tagum nets P1.2-million as it disposed of through public auction unserviceable office equipment last week.

At first, the city government conducted public bidding which generated cash to the city while those not sold were crushed by a road roller.

The city government offered those which can be salvaged were put into a public auction while those which were deemed unserviceable were crushed by road roller at the city’s motor pool.

These equipment include information and communication, marine and fishery equipment, sports equipment, medical equipment, technical equipment, furniture, and fixtures, among others which were deemed unserviceable which piled up in the motor pool for years.

With the disposal and destruction of such equipment provided the motor pool more space inside the Tagumpay General Services Office. Newsline.ph
