PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — A public school teacher and three others were arrested in an anti-drug operation in the town of Dumalinao, this province, police said Saturday.

The Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Police Office identified the arrested public school teacher as Ryan Gabunilas Cabilao–listed as a high-value target (HVT) — and his three alleged accomplices: Edmundo Rais Abalos, Sweet Ann Basco Resuelo, and Mia Grace Buligan Panganuran.

The four were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 9:30 a.m. Friday inside a hotel in Brgy.Paglaum by a joint team of policemen and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives.

Recovered from them were some PHP34,000 worth of suspected shabu weighing five grams and packed in 33 transparent heat-sealed plastic sachets and other pieces of evidence, police said.

The suspects were detained at the PDEA lock-up cell in this city pending the filing of charges against them. -PNA
