DAVAO CITY –— The personnel of Task Force Davao here issued stern warning to all its personnel not to engage in online Sabong or E-Sabong, saying it might cause their job.

Colonel Darren E. Comia, TF-Davao commander in an interview with Newsline said “I already gave order to our personnel not to indulge in E-Sabong because we have an order from the general headquarters to stay away from E-Sabong.’

When asked how can he guarantee that no one violates the order? Comia stressed “Continues supervision and continues talk to troops helps to remind them t=of the disadvantages and the ill-effects that it will brought, we must continue to educate our personnel not to play it because it will destroy their families and might lead to their dismissal from service.”

If one is found violating the order, Comia said :They will follow the procedure “We will investigate and if found he committed the offense he can be dismissed from service.”

On Monday, a video went viral as one soldier reportedly robbed a store in Labayong town in Sultan Kudarat province, his colleagues suspect that the soldier was desperate since he spent all his money to E-Sabong.

In 2019,  four active police officers and a civilian employee of the Philippine National Police (PNP) were arrested after they were caught drinking in public and at the same time engaging in online cockfight betting (e-sabong) in Cubao, Quezon City.
