Three arrested in suspected drug den bust

MALITA, Davao Occidental – Three suspected illegal drug couriers were apprehended in a joint operation at Sitio Pamana, Barangay Fishing Village, Malita on Thursday night, June 20, 2024.

The operation, led by personnel from PDEA-XI in collaboration with forces from the Davao Occidental Police Provincial Office and Malita Municipal Police Station, uncovered a suspected drug den. Undercover agents from PDEA successfully conducted a buy-bust operation targeting Romeo Baring Madel Jr., 27 years old, a resident of the area identified as the alleged drug den maintainer.

Also arrested were Rustico Del Campo Jr., identified as an employee of the alleged drug den, and Abdul Villanueve Jr., who was visiting the premises at the time of the operation.

During the raid, authorities seized approximately 44,000 pesos worth of suspected shabu.
