President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) officer-in-charge Catalino Cuy as the new chairman of the Dangerous Drugs Board to repleace terminated chairman Dionesio Santiago .
While DILG Undersecretary Eduardo Año replaces Cuy at the DILG.
Asked about his new assignment, Cuy in a text message to Newsline.ph describes the new task as “New Challenge.”
Cuy will take over the vacated position of then DDB Chairman Dionesio Santiago who was fired after he criticized the construction of the mega drug rehabilitation center, he made statement over the media which caught the ire of the President.
Año appointment was signed Thursday January 4, 2018.
Both Cuy and Año served Davao City while Duterte was the mayor.
Cuy was Director of the Davao City Police Office while Año was the commander of the Eastern Mindanao Command.-EZC/Newsline.ph
