Broadcaster shot dead in AlbayPosted on
DAVAO CITY (July 20) — A radio anchorman was shot dead by still unidentified gunmen at around 4:45 early this morning, at his residence in Barangay Peñafrancia, Daraga town in Albay.
Llana was on his way to the radio station DWZR, to anchor his program “MetroBanat” which is aired from 5:30 to 7:00 in the morning, he was a blocktimer.
PNP-Bicol spokesperson, Chief Inspector Maria Luisa Calubaquib said Llana was driving out of his garage when the still unidentified shot the victim several times at close range.
Llana sustained 14 gunshot wounds from .45 caliber and 9mm pistols.
Llana’s death came 43 days after Davao publisher Dennis Denora was killed in Panabo City.
Denora’s case is not moving, despite the creation of Task Force Denora. The Task Force remain silent about the investigation.
The Denora family is still awaiting update on the investigation.
