Duterte reveals test result is negative, denies check-up in HongkongPosted on
DAVAO CITY (October 9) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday revealed that the test conducted at the Cardinal Santos Hospital, yielded negative result.
In a press conference with the members of the Malacañang Press Corps at Heroes Tuesday night, Duterte said “Dito sa Pilipinas Negative ako.”
The result means, Duterte is cancer-free.
When further asked what the doctors say about the examination, Duterte said “It’s negative! they had suspicions, so they had a specimen taken out, puede tayong mag-inuman, I can give a run for your money. ”
For a person diagnosed with cancer drinking alcoholic drinks is prohibited.
According to Duterte “nothing serious actually, hindi pa ako cancerous.”
He even cracked a joked, “Battery syndrome” pagdating doon, kasi may positive may negative.”
Asked if he had a check up over the weekend in Hongkong, Duterte said “You believe that I have a check up in Hongkong the joke in on you, namili ako ng damit, nagbili, I bought some shirts at pantalon, wala na akong damit kasi tumaba na ako.”
Duterte said if he will reveal the results here in the Philippines, he will be again accused of making a drama “So gawa-gawa nalang ako nang istorya.”
Malacañang insiders told NewsLine, that during the Monday night Cabinet meeting, Duterte told them that the result of his medical examination turned negative “Everyone was clapping and happy because he revealed the results.”
When Duterte left for Hongkong over the weekend his critics then started to circulate reports that Duterte was going to have a second opinion abroad. But it turned out he was there to be with his family for a weekend break.-ezc/NewsLine.ph
