Fresh grad and sis-in-law die in car accidentPosted on
DAVAO CITY (May 31) —- A fresh graduate and her sister-in-law died in a car accident after their vehicle collided with a Metro Shuttle bus at about 4:30 this morning along Quimpo Boulevard.
The Davao City Police Office in a report the Metro Shuttle Bus driver by Ricky Aban Deloso and the Mazda Sedan bearing MV file no. 1101-371731 owned and driven by Melody Ann Sotelo Ybanez collided which resulted to the death of the later and her sister-in-law.
The police identified the victims as Janilou Faye S. Rosales, 21, who just graduated with a degree of Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science at San Pedro College last Thursday, May 30, and Ybanez, 27.
Ybanez, resident of 222 Isarog st., Central Park Bangkal, Davao City is a holder of Student Permit no. L0217S26105 which expired last September 27, 2018.
The Initial investigation conducted revealed, that prior to the incident both vehicles were traveling along Quimpo Boulevard in opposite direction with the Metro Shuttle bus coming from Mac Arthur Highway heading towards Eco West Drive while Ybañez vehicle coming from Eco West Drive heading towards Mac Arthur Highway.
The report further said that upon reaching the vicinity Quimpo Boulevard, the two vehicles collided, the same police report emphasized “Due to the strong contact, the Mazda Sedan was dragged approximately twenty two (22) meters away from the probable point of impact.”
Rosales and Ybañez were declared dead on the spot by 911 paramedics.-ezc/NesLine.ph
