DAVAO CITY (August 6) — The City Youth Development Office (CYDO) in coordination with the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) and the 71st Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army challenged Tagumenyo Youth organizations for a clean-up drive and campaign at the same time dubbed as #Trashtag.
The challenge include allowing each participating youth organization take a photo before and after the clean-up drive.
The activity was part of the effort of the City Government of Tagum to encourage the youth to take an active role in the preservation and protection of the environment.
Various youth organizations took the challenge with the participation of the Philippine Army.
The activity was launched in nine coastal villages of the city.
The city government will publish the “before and after” as part of the culmination activity of the youth festival, which will be posted in social media, in the hope of promoting awareness and to encourage other youth organizations to do their share. -NewsLine.ph
