MAKILALA, North Cotabato-— While the 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck, everyone scampered for safety morning of October 29, but not Junifer, who was inside the labour room, she was an expectant mother then.
On November 2, the Newsline.ph team found Junifer, a resident of Batasan Makilala in her sister’s house just near the town hall, cuddling her three-day old angel, baby “Quake-quake”.
She narrated, while everyone rushed for safety, she kept Praying inside the delivery room, and later found courage to slowly get out of the hospital and join other patients outside the Makilala Specialist Hospital.
The doctor told her to endure, as aftershocks stuck one after the other.
“I felt nervous, I was in pain, and I was afraid, I can see people running for safety, but I need to be strong for the infant inside my womb,” Junifer told Newsline.
Fear and series of aftershocks was beside her as she finally gave birth to a 4.2 lbs baby girl at around 11.02p.m October 29.
When the angel was out, everyone inside the delivery room cheered, “welcome to the world baby Quake Quake,” she narrated.
