Davao police personnel now Covid-19 freePosted on
DAVAO CITY — As of today, all personnel of the Davao City Police Office is coronavirus-19 free.
Some 242 police officers and support staff underwent swab test after three personnel who were assigned in Barangay 23-C were tested positive of the virus.
Captain Rose Aguilar, spokesperson of the DCPO in an interview with Newsline.ph revealed “The three personnel who were earlier tested positive of Covid-19 have been released from the isolation facility after the two swab test results show they are negative of the virus”.
“Because there were personnel who had close contact with positive patients in their area of assignment, everyone underwent swab test and the result showed we are negative of the virus,” she said.
On Thursday, the three units inside the city’s police command namely the Commel, the administrative division, and the tactical operations unit will finish their 14-day mandatory quarantine “But these offices do not entertain people, it is more of office confined work.”
Five offices of the DCPO were locked down after the three police personnel were tested positive and because they had contact with their colleagues. The DCPO deemed it was necessary to lock down the offices, but most of those offices have finished the 14-day quarantine and the three remaining will finish their quarantine on Thursday.
Aguilar said the PNP in the frontline are doing their best to help in fighting the spread of the virus and they are doubly careful because they need to serve and protect the people in the line of duty.-ezc/Newsline.ph
