DAVAO CITY — President Rodrigo Duterte wants every barangay and local government leaders from the village to the urban centers, to double their effort in the fight against the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and asked them to work doubly hard to protect public health.
“Mga barangay captains, it’s time that you really work. You work. Strictly enforce the quarantine, lalo na ‘yung lockdown,” he told local officials.
It behooves upon the barangay captain, municipal mayor, to see to it that, kung maaari lang, kung posible lang that your barangay or munisipyo, city is COVID-free,” he added.
