COTABATO CITY — Until the yearends, city residents are not allowed to go out on Sunday.
The move is one of the city’s step to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease, a police approved by the inter-agency task force three months ago.
Speaking for the city government of Cotabato, Lawyer Kitem Kadatuan Jr., said on Friday the directive takes effect on December 13, 20, and 27.
But, December 20 will be an exception as people especially the Roman Catholics will be allowed to attend the dawn mass from 3 a.m. until 7 a.m.
“The decision to continue the “no movement Sunday’ is meant to contain the continuing prevalence of (the) coronavirus disease 2019 in the city,” he said.
As of Friday, the city has 94 active cases.
The city government. Kadatuan said, is appealing to all residents to cooperate and support the “no movement Sunday” and at the same time observe the minimum health protocols at all times.-Edwin O. Fernandez
