DAVAO CITY (April 15) — The Local Government Unit of Tacurong City has finally got its own bus courtesy of Rural Transit of Mindanao, Inc.

The local government led by Mayor Lina Montilla received the bus in a turnover ceremony last Friday, April 12..

The bus, manufactured by Hino Motors, was received by the LGU as a form of donation from Rural Transit, a subsidiary company of Yanson Group of Bus Companies.

As a token of gratitude, Montilla gave a recognition plaque to the donor while the Sangguniang Panlungsod passed a resolution extending the LGU’s gratitude for the donation.

Montilla said that the arrival of the bus will be a huge help to the LGU and even the barangays.

While guidelines for the utilization of the bus are still at works, the mayor said that the bus will be primarily used for government-related activities.

This a big help to the LGU and even the barangays, Montilla, during the turnover said.

Tacurong City was the second LGU in the Soccsksargen region to receive a unit from a Yanson-owned firm.
