Two escape  ambush try in Cotabato City

DAVAO CITY –— Two persons survived an ambush in Sinsuat Avenue, Barangay Rosary Heights 6, Cotabato City, on Monday night.

Cotabato City PNP Director Col. Querubin Manalang Jr., identified the wounded victims as  Mohammad Mohaimin Abdullah, 41-years-old, widower, gov’t employee from Barangay Rosary Heights and Beverly Namla, 41-years-old, widow, medical secretary from Poblacion 4, all from Cotabato City.

Manalang said initial investigation showed that the victims onboard a white Suzuki Swift with licensed plate LGR 868  were traveling along Rosary Heights  when the suspects approached and shot them.

Abdullah was hit in various parts of his body while his companion, Namla, was hit in the left hand.

Police investigators recovered 24 gun cartridges from the crime scene.

Police are still investigating the motive of the crime.
