DAVAO CITY — Two lady boarders here were killed after a fellow border reportedly got irritated over the noise that the victims created during the Christmas Celebration .

San Pedro Police Chief Police Major Marvin Hugos identified the victims as Cora Oral Andagit, 20 years old, and Jazel Joy Casantao Indoy, 15 years old, both residents of Purok 10, barangay Salumay, Marilog District, both belong to Matigsalog tribe.

Police investigation report showed that at around 6:30 Thursday morning another resident identified as Nenet, was sweeping the stairs when she saw the suspect whom she identified as Marcial Marzan Gonzales, 52 years old, coming down from the boarding house.

The suspect bluntly told her “Tawag na og 911 kay akong gipatay ng duha ka babaye diha” (Call 911 now I killed the two ladies there) pointing to the rooms of the victims.

Gonzales tried to escape and planned to go home to Barangay Kapatagan in the province of Davao del Sur, but the operatives in Digos City caught him at the terminal and was arrested at around noon.

In a video taken by the police, Gonzales admitted to committing the crime. He reasoned out “Kalagot nakalimot ko sir.. naka inom ko sir, nag-inum ko kutob kaadlawon” (I was mad sir, I drunk until dawn).

He told the police investigators in Davao del Sur, that since Christmas and the New year he was mad at the victims so were so noisy and even brought their boyfriends into their boarding house.

“Nagdala og uyab unya saba kaayo maong nalagot ko (They brought their boyfriends and were very noisy, I got irritated), he said in vernacular.

The suspect said he even tried to warn the victims that it was prohibited to bring men in their rooms but he was ignored and instead the victims got mad at him.

He said the ladies went home wee hours Thursday and were still sleeping when he came up, it was then he chanced upon to kill them.
