DAVAO CITY, Philippines — For teaching without the authority of the Court, the Sandiganbayan found National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) Labor Arbiter Alberto Dolosa guilty of violating the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
The Sandiganbayan ordered Dolosa to pay a find of P1,000 as he engaged in the unauthorized private practice by teaching at the Santo Tomas University while simultaneously holding his government position as labor arbiter.
It was established that from July 2005 to December 2014.
During the arraignment in November 2017, the accused, assisted by counsel, pleaded guilty to the charge.
Section 7(b)(2) of R.A. No. 6713 , also known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical standard for public officials and employees prohibits public officials and employees to engage in the private practice of their profession unless authorized by the constitution or law, provided that such practice will not conflict or tend to conflict with their official function.-Jiann A.
