ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Zamboanga City Treasurer’s Office has taken custody of the election paraphernalia that will be used in the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) scheduled for Monday, October 30.

The election paraphernalia includes the official ballots, envelopes for voting and counting, indelible ink, pens (ballpens), and other items necessary for the smooth conduct of the elections. These materials are designated for use in 630 precincts in District I and 711 precincts in District II.

The election paraphernalia arrived at the Zamboanga City Treasurer’s Office on October 13 and are now being organized for distribution to the Board of Election Inspectors. The distribution will take place at the Joaquin Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex on Sunday, October 29, from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The City Treasurer’s Office has established a schedule for each of the 98 barangays to avoid congestion and ensure a smooth distribution process. The distributed materials will be used during the vote counting and sealing.

The personnel of the City Treasurer’s Office are prepared to work overtime to ensure the proper distribution of election paraphernalia to the Board of Election Inspectors.

As mandated by law, the City Treasurer’s Office is responsible for the custody and distribution of election supplies and paraphernalia for the 2023 Barangay and SK Elections.
