₱531K worth of suspected shabu seized in Davao del Norte buy-bust

DAVAO CITY (April 8) – Authorities arrested three individuals. They confiscated a total of ₱531,000 worth of suspected shabu during a joint anti-drug operation in Barangay Cebulano, Carmen, Davao del Norte, on Monday morning.

Personnel from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Davao del Norte Provincial Office, the Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office, and the Carmen Municipal Police Station conducted the buy-bust operation at around 7:00 a.m. in Purok 1.

The suspects, identified only by their aliases—”Palang”, “Rean”, and “Jennifer”—were apprehended after selling a sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱9,000 to a poseur buyer from PDEA.

Upon further inspection, operatives recovered an additional 13 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱522,000, bringing the total confiscated amount to ₱531,000.

The suspects are currently in custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug operations in Davao del Norte.
