2 killed, 4 wounded in Maguindanao del Norte as BSKE starts

DAVAO CITY — Two civilians were killed while four others were wounded in a shooting that happened early morning today at the school in Barangay Bugawas, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte

.The shooting happened before the official start of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections today, October 30.

Lt. Col. Esmael Madin, police chief of Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte, said the unidentified victims were about to enter the Bugawas Elementary School in Barangay Bugawas, to vote when attacked by still unidentified suspects at about 6 a.m.

The suspects fled on a motorbike, police said.

Madin the victims are Juhaimin Ube and an alias “Mistake”, who died in the incident.

Meanwhile, Mohalidin Solaiman, Jerik Alon, Nasrudin Salik, and Harong Tating are still being treated at a hospital.
The case is still being investigated.


It can be recalled that on Saturday October 30, Ruminimbang Elementary School was also burned down in Ruminimbang, Barira, Maguindanao Del Norte, at 2:05 am on October 28, 2023.

On the same day Dalican Pilot Elementary school in Datu Odin Sinsuat was also gutted by fire.

According to Comelec Chair George Garcia, the #BSKE2023 election will continue in the said area despite what happened.
The fire case is still under investigation.
