COTABATO PROVINCE — The Provincial Government of Cotabato has intensified its commitment to the well-being of the people as it embarks on various initiatives before the conclusion of 2023. On the morning of December 27, the provincial government, through the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), conducted a Medical-Dental Outreach Program in Barangay Abaga, Libungan.

The IPHO team provided diverse medical services, including free consultations, circumcision for young boys, dental services, and distribution of medicines and vitamins. Additionally, a feeding program was implemented, offering complementary food packages to two malnourished children identified through a nutritional assessment.

Collaborating with the IPHO were Barangay Health Workers and Barangay Nutrition Scholars who actively participated in the outreach effort.

According to IPHO records, a total of 243 residents in Barangay Abaga benefited from the government’s outreach program. A similar activity was also conducted in Barangay Doles, Magpet, reaching 411 residents, with 170 individuals receiving nutritious food through the feeding program. Four children were provided with complementary food packages and are now under regular monitoring to ensure their continued well-being.

The Provincial Government of Cotabato remains steadfast in its commitment to prioritize the health and welfare of its constituents, with plans to further enhance these programs in the coming year of 2024.
