552 families displace due to inclement weather

DAVAO CITY –— – Some 552 families comprising 1,898 individuals from three provinces of Davao Region have been displaced due to inclement weather caused by Shear Line.

Classes and works have been suspended as of Today.

As of 3:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday, January 16, the Office of Civil Defense record showed provincial records of displacements: Davao de oro-336 families with 1,332 individuals; , Davao Occidental-20 families with 100 individuals and, Davao Oriental with 110 families with 468 individuals.

Flood:

A total of 13 flooded areas at Brgys. Doña Josefa & Aguinaldo, Laak, Brgy. Sarmiento, New Bataan, Brgys. Nueva Visayas, Bawani, Andili, & Poblacion, Mawab, Brgys. Magading, Nabunturan, Brgys. Poblacion, Maco, Davao de Oro

  • Three (3) landslides (rain-induced) at Brgy. Camanlangan, New Bataan, Brgy. Linda, Nabunturan and Brgy. Gubatan, Maco, Davao de Oro
  • One (1) scouring of bridge (1)  was reported at Fatima, New Bataan, Davao de Oro

ROADS and BRIDGES:

  • Four (4) road not passable to all types of vehicles
  •       – Trukat, Camanlangan, New Bataan (Nabunturan – Maragusan Road) (National Road)
  •       – Rizal, Monkayo (National Road)
  •       – Sawangan, Mawab (National Road)
  •       – Bahi, Maragusan (National Road)
  • -One (1) bridge not passable to all types of vehicles
  •      – Fatima Bridge at Fatima, New Bataan, Davao de Oro

CLASS SUSPENSION:

-A total of 27 municipalities declared class suspension.

WORK SUSPENSION:

-A total of 14 municipalities declared work suspension.

PRE-EMPTIVE EVACUATION:

-Previously reported pre-emptive is actually forced evacuation

ASSISTANCE PROVIDED:

– 60 packs of 5kg rice amounting to Php 14,000 from LGU Caraga

– 550 family food packs from DSWD 11 amounting to Php 328,625.00

As of presstime, it is still raining all over Davao region and in some part sone parts of Southern Mindanao.
