750 housing affordable housing units coming soon to Iligan City

ILIGAN CITY –A Housing Forum was held toay in Iligan City, organized by the local government through the office of City Councilor Atty. Maria Paz Teresa “Betsy” Zalsos in collaboration with the Housing and Resettlement Office (HRO), Department of Human and Settlements and Urban Development (DSHUD), and the National Housing Authority (NHA) at Plaza Alemania.

During the forum, it was announced that an additional 750 housing units will be available through President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s Pambansang Pabahay Program. These homes are intended for families with modest means. It’s important to note that while these houses are affordable, they are not free. The program offers them at reasonable prices. The DSHUD envisions that the people of Iligan will soon have the opportunity to own their own homes.

Representatives of Home Owners Associations (HOA) from Iligan City attended the forum to discuss various issues and concerns surrounding the housing programs.
