Two lady cops and a male companion abducted in Sulu

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines —  Suspected members of the  Abu Sayyaf  Group abducted two lady police officers and their  male companion in Barangay Liang, Patiukul Sulu, Sunday  afternoon, April 29, 2018.

joint Task Force Sulu Commander Brig. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, confirmed the reports and identified the lady police as  PO2 Benierose Alvarez and PO1 Dinah Gumahad. Alvarez is from Engineering while Gumahad is undergoing CIC.

Reports from the military’s Western Mindanao Command stated, at about 12:40 in the afternoon Sunday,  a certain Jack of Brgy Gandasuli together with his 2 female companion were abducted at the vicinity of GC 821-710 Bgry Liang, Patikul, Sulu.

The trio were riding a red tricycle with body number 1899 marked  Igasan family , when more or less 11 armed men flagged down the vehicle and immediately withdrew towards southern portion of the village.

The 45th Infantry Battalion led by 1lt Degorio conducted clearing operations,  with the two platoons from 45IB led 1lt Concepcion, the military operatives as still conducting pursuit operations as of presstime.-Mirasol Monteza/RMN-Zamboanga
