Ombudsman investigates P100 collection for Marawi Siege movie

DAVAO CITY (June 28) — The Office of the Ombudsman for Mindanao on Wednesday started to investigate the reported P100 collection for the viewing of Marawi Siege movie, in some state schools, colleges and universities in Zamboanga City and in the province of Basilan.

Deputy Ombudsman for Mindanao Rodolfo Elman, in a message to Newsline.ph said “We already cut out the article of Newsline about the P100 collection, together with the thread. Definitely,  we will promptly look into it.”

Elman added , “Already tasked the Public Assistance Bureau to act on the matter for a speedy action.”

On Tuesday, NewsLine.ph published a story about the complaints of some parents whose children   were coerced by school authorities to buy the P100 ticket for the viewing of Marawi siege story.
