MY PERSONAL THOUGHT ON THE ACQUITTAL OF MARIMAR:

The War on Drugs suffered a setback with the acquittal of Johaira Macabuat, popularly known as “MARIMAR”, a notorious druglord who is trafficking drugs for almost two decades… who caused the destruction of the future of our children, and contributed to the proliferation of illegal drugs not only in Mindanao but the whole country.

It is unfortunate that Judge Acebido SWALLOWED the testimonies of the defense… HOOK, LINE and SINKER.

It is unfortunate that the Judge treated as GOSPEL-TRUTH, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, the self-serving testimonies of their witnesses, totally disregarding the evidence presented by the prosecution, whose witnesses enjoy the presumption of regularity in the performance of official duty.

Adding injury to the People, is the injury inflicted by Judge Acebido on our PDEA operatives, who have done nothing but to perform their official duties to the best of their abilities, and even imputed that our agents planted the evidence, and that they abused their authority.

As i internalize on the decision, it pains me to realize that it does not only mean to acquit, it also will result to the destruction of PDEA R10…. the reputation of the whole institution is at stake here.

This is not acceptable!
The PDEA, therefore, will not, and will never, accept the decision of Judge Acebido.

We will assail the decision and bring it to the Supreme Court…

We will not rest until justice is served…

And lastly, this decision just awaken the MONSTER out of me!
