DAVAO CITY (October 10) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday hinted , his trusted aide Special Assistant  Christopher Lawrence “Bog”  is running for senator.

Asked if Go is running for a senate seat, Duterte answered “I believe he is really running,”  Duterte said in a press conference at  the Palace Tuesday night.

Duterte believes Go can make it “Kaya nito tumakbo.” He teased journalists, “You will have a friend there at the Senate.”

Reports have it, a lawyer from Davao will replace Go should he resign from office when he files his certificate of Candidacy.

Go has been the trusted personal aide of Duterte for almost two decades.

He was taken after Jimboy Halili, Duterte’s  aide died of cardiac arrest while playing basketball inside a private gym here.

“Bong is a faithful aide,” Duterte described.

Duterte advised  Go “To tell the people that he has  a Chinese blood  but his mother is from Batangas.”

According to Duterte, it was Go who inspired him to put up  Malasakit Center in many areas of the country.

In Davao City, Go is well-loved, he goes out his way to help people even on wee hours.

Go’s life revolves around Duterte for several years.  Go calls Duterte “Boss”.

Though Go has yet to officially declare his candidacy, he has been moving around, meeting groups and people.-Editha Z. Caduay/NewsLine
