ILIGAN CITY (February 6) —– Another bomb rocked Lanao del Norte at around 10:00 last night, just hours before today’s second plebiscite for the ratification of the Bangamoro Organic Law.
The plebiscite will determine if more areas will be added to the new Bangsamoro region.
This is the third explosion that happened in the province eve of the plebiscite in Lanao del Norte to decide the fate of the six municipalities of the province which is being proposed to be included in the new Bangsamoro government.

At past 4pm yesterday, an explosion occurred in Barangay Maranding, the business center of Lala town while the another blast occurred in Kauswagan town, minutes after.
Lala is 60 kilometers apart from Kauswagan while Sultan Naga Dimaporo is around 20 kilometers from Lala.
These three towns are not part of the six municipalities to be included in the Bangsamoro area.
Col. Alex Aduca, commander of the Joint Task Force Plebisito, said a small improvised explosive device (IED) was thrown by unidentified person, onboard a hauler truck, locally called “kumong-kumong”, along the highway infront of a gasoline station while the second bomb exploded at the back of municipal hall in Kauswagan.
The explosive in Kauswagan, according to Aduca, was wrapped with a plastic, placed besides a dump truck.
No casualties has been reported in the three blasts.
The checkpoints has been intensified after the explosion.
“Hindi lang plain view ang inspection na ginagawa natin. We will check every vehicles na dumadaan,” Aduca said.-Divina M. Suson/NewsLine.ph
