DAVAO CITY — The city government of Davao on Monday released the guidelines for individuals coming in and out of the city.

On the travel of individuals:

“The movement of persons across areas placed under GCQ and MGCQ for any purpose other than leisure shall be permitted.”

Anybody can go out of Davao City anytime. The Omnibus Guidelines do not require the City Government to issue travel orders to individuals who intend to go out of the city.

On the other hand, all incoming individuals to Davao City shall be subjected to a health screening upon arrival at the land checkpoint, seaport, and airport. The health screening conducted will determine whether a person shall go to the Southern Philippines Medical Center for RT-PCR testing and Quarantine Facility or proceed to 14-day mandatory home quarantine.

Short stay individuals and workers coming in and out every day shall be subjected to the same health screening every time they enter the city, but they will not be mandated to be quarantined. They shall, however, be sent to the SPMC if they fail the health screening. Due to the limited number of qualified health personnel to conduct the health screening, the entry to the city during the GCQ can only be allowed from 8 am to 4 pm from Monday to Saturday.

Expect long lines at the checkpoints and airport. Hence, everyone is advised to avoid unnecessary travel to Davao City because of the increasing Covid-19 confirmed cases in the area.
