DAVAO CITY — Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Davao del Norte grants Scholarship Program to the people of the Municipality of San Isidro, Davao del Norte. TESDA offers 29 days training program in Organic Agriculture Production NC II and 34 days training program in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II.

The Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) scholars were oriented last September 29, 2020, at Executive Conference Hall, New Municipal Building for SMAW, and at Igangon Multi-Purpose Building for Organic Agriculture Production. There were 25 expected TWSP scholars for both SMAW and Agri-Production coming from different barangays in this municipality. Scholars of this program will greatly benefit a full training cost, free assessment fee, training support fund of 160/day, PPE’s, 1-year insurance free from GSIS, and an Internet allowance of P500.00.

As part of TESDA’s program implementation, Arlyn Bandong, TESDA Davao del Norte Provincial Director, through Jenny Capongpongan, Provincial CTEC Coordinator, in coordination with the office of the Municipal Mayor Arnel H. Sitoy, worked hand-in-hand to make this program possible. With the support of ACES Polytechnic College and Luwil Institute of Technology Incorporated as Service Providers.

The Local Government of San Isidro is very grateful and thankful because, despite the current health crisis, TESDA finds its way through tapping government institutions to still render services that are supposedly intended for Technical – Vocational Institutions (TVI). Newsline.ph
