Government workers to receive P10K service recognition incentive

DAVAO CITY — President Rodrigo Duterte signed Administrative Order (AO) No. 37 authorizing the grant of P10K one-time service recognition incentive (SRI) to government workers for fiscal year 2020 on Friday.

As provided in the AO 37, the employees in national government agencies, including state universities and colleges and government-owned or -controlled corporations (GOCCs), and those occupying regular, contractual, or casual positions will receive the incentive not earlier than Dec. 21.

The order also provided that the SRI will also be received by military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police, the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, the Bureau of Corrections, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority.

To be qualified for the cash incentive, the person must still be in government service or have rendered at least four months of service as of Nov. 30, 2020.

Those who have rendered less than four months of service are entitled to a pro-rated share of the SRI.

The order provided further that those engaged without employer-employee relationship and whose compensations are funded from non-Personnel Services (PS) appropriations/budgets are excluded from the grant of the incentive.-Newsline
