DAVAO CITY — President Rodrigo Duterte has allowed the use of government schools as vaccination centers while the Armed Forces of the Philippines has allowed the use of their hospitals to serve as vaccination centers.
During the Monday night public address to the people, Duterte said in areas where there is no government hospital or government centers, the public schools can be utilized as vaccination center.
Covid-Czar Carlito Galvez also shared that the AFP will allow the vaccination jabs in the military hospitals.
Though some local government units have designation vaccination centers, Duterte said the situation in the remote areas is different and the need for a center can be addressed by using publi schools.
The police and military personnel are also enjoined to ensure that the minimum health protocol will be observed.
The country’s first batch of Coronavirus vaccines is expected to arrive on February 20.-ezc
