P200k bounty for suspects behind burning of bus in NoCot

KIDAPAWAN CITY — The municipal government of Mlang and the Provincial government of North Cotabato have put up a P200,000 bounty for any informant who can identify the suspects behind the burning of Yellow Bus line which killed three (3) passengers on Thursday, June3, in Mlang, this province.

The bounty money was offered at P100,000 each from Mlang Mayor Russel Abonado and Cotabato Governor Nancy Catamco. During the Friday press conference, Catamco condemned the recent attack against the YBL.

Col. Henry Villar, Cotabato police director, told Newsline, they already created a special task group to probe the incident and the probe team aims to identify the suspects and the motive behind the crime.

Lt. Col. Realan Mamon, Mlang police chief, identified the fatalities as Johny Roy Tadeo Ramil, 28, and Hazel Gallardo, 30, both of Barangay Poblacion in Mlang, and Arnold Patron, 49 of La Esperanza in nearby Tulunan town.

Six other passengers sustained first degree burns and are now in the hospital, Mamon added.

The bus was traveling from Kidapawan City to Mlang en route to Tacurong City in Sultan Kudarat province when it was set ablaze.

The YBL management has yet to issue a statement on Thursday’s incident.
