280 residents of NoCot get P5.4M from DOLE

KIDAPAWAN CITY — Some 150 individuals needing government support received a total of P5.4M cash assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment on Saturday, September 25,

No less than Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III handed the check to Governor Nancy Catamco in a simple ceremony held at Barangay Luvimin.

The fund was taken against the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program or DLIP.

While some 150 displaced workers from the municipality of Mlang received cash assistance through the agency’s Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa ating mga Displaced Workers (TUPAD).

Members of the Malmar Agricultural Farmers Association received one unit of tractor and accessories.

Ten students from Makilala town benefitted from the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES)

Ten individuals from Kidapawan City and Mlang received P5,00 and P10,000 each from the programang balik Pinas Balik Pinay.

The OFW organizations namely: Nueva Vida OFW Association of Mlang; Nuangan United OFW Association of Kidapawan City recieved P650.000 from DOLE-OWWA through Programang Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Pag-unlad ng Samahang OFWs.

Bello assured that the government will always support the displaced workers through the TUPAD program.
