Davao City and Sennan City sign sisterhood pact

DAVAO CITY — The city government of Davao and Sennan City of Japan have signed sisterhood agreement on April 25, 2023.

The agreement binds Davao City and Sennan City to mutually support each other in promoting tourism and supporting each other’s economic-and socio-cultural endeavors.

Mayor Sebastian Duterte who led the delegation signed in behalf of the Davao people while Sennan Yamamoto Yuma signed in behalf of his residents.

The signing was in time for the investment and promotion road show of Davao in Japan.

The sisterhood agreement was conceptualized when then Sennan Mayor Isato Takenaka, sent a letter of intent to Davao City for the purpose.

Senna City is the second sister city of Davao as it earlier signed same agreement with Fukuoka Perfecture.
